Biography
I am Tea Lazić, an artist from Croatia. I hold a master’s degree in Comparative Literature and Sociology, as well as a high school diploma in Interior Design, and through my art I try to weave together all of my passions and the skills I’ve gained throughout my education.
I am in love with exploring minimalism infused with maximum color impact. My work is bold, daring, and eye-catching, sometimes personal, sometimes seductive, but always radically alive. I am drawn to contrast, simple compositions intensified through saturated palettes, emotional tone, and symbolic detail.
The most constant presence in my work is women. I find the female body breathtaking and worth celebrating, a space of presence, movement, and expression. Another recurring theme comes from my personal escapes to the sea, which I return to as a reference point for memory, escapism, and emotional grounding.
My practice has evolved from ink and freehand drawing into digital illustration in Procreate, where I found freedom in color and experimentation. Bright, vivid colors became my defining feature, simulating radical presence, confidence, and the ongoing feeling of lived pleasure. Across my work, images like identity are never fixed, but always evolving.
Project Statement
Zodiac Collection is a series of twelve digital artworks based on a single self-portrait. Each piece reinterprets the same face into a different zodiac sign through changes in color palette, makeup, hair, and symbolic details.
The project began as an experiment in reworking existing imagery rather than creating from scratch. Through repetition, it became a way to explore how one subject can generate multiple versions of itself, and how identity shifts depending on context and perception.
Zodiac Collection reflects my interest in how identity is not fixed, but continuously reshaped by the way we are seen and the symbols we are given.
